Housekeeper

Performs assigned duties which may include cleaning assigned areas in order to provide a clean, comfortable and an inviting environment for customers and employees.

Clean building interiors by performing tasks such as dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures; washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents, and light fixtures; sweeping, scrubbing, and refinishing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpet; re-supplying restrooms and replacing light bulbs as needed. Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness and document cleaning actions that have been taken for specific areas; noting areas requiring additional care or monitoring and informing your supervisor of incomplete work.

May be exposed to waste, infectious waste, diseases, conditions etc. that are consistent with casino housekeeping. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent Training and

Experience:

No previous experience required Must be able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, and policies Must be able to follow all instructions, written and oral Must be able to handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Housecleaning equipment and materials, floor polishers/buffers, spray bottles and ladders may be utilized in this position Potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens may exist when encountering spilled blood or body fluids.

May be required to be able to lift up to fifty (50) lbs. in order to effectively utilize various equipment Must be able to walk for long periods of time; must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl Must be able to work in fast paced environment Must be able to work flexible schedule including; evenings, weekends, holidays and promotional events Must be able to work in a smoke filled casino environment Licenses/Certifications/Other:
Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions
