Urgently hiring for a Lead Porter position in Hackensack at the Bergen County Shelter. Ideal candidates must be friendly, be a self‑starter, and able to provide direction to other porters. The lead porter will be responsible for overseeing porters who are performing a variety of janitorial tasks to ensure occupants a clean and safe environment. This is a working porter position, not just supervisory.
SHIFT:Wednesday (8:00 a.m.
- 7:00 p.m.) and Saturday (8:00 a.m.
- 7:00 p.m.)
Job Duties
- Minimum 2 years previous janitorial experience.
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- MUST have reliable transportation to and from the work site.
