The Homeland Group at Leidos is seeking a Non‑Intrusive Inspection System (NIIS) Field Service Technician, Journeyman in support of the IBD‑SS program's CENTCOM and Horn of Africa areas of operations.

The Field Service Technician will perform maintenance, training, and work closely with military customers. This role requires experience performing mechanical and electronic service on radiation and back scatter technology systems, including installs, de‑installs, testing, and preventive maintenance on Non‑Intrusive Inspection Systems. The successful candidate may be assigned supervisory duties to manage day‑to‑day operations of their area or other technicians. OCONUS travel will be required to other OCONUS locations.
ResponsibilitiesPerform system operation analyses.
Operate hardware systems and components.
Detect, isolate, and correct hardware faults.
Conduct routine system maintenance and analysis, including hardware configuration, component replacement, use of diagnostic tools, reading circuit schematics, and PCB repair.
Perform sustainment and PMCS maintenance on system and vehicle chassis.
Conduct site surveys to determine system type and placement.
Install, de‑install systems and components, and train operators and end users.
Update databases, inform Lead of job status and any issues encountered.
Track and update work orders, including replacement of parts and component serial numbers.
Travel via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas.
Use hand tools, power tools, and electronic measuring equipment.
Perform minor vehicle and generator maintenance, such as changing oil and filter.
Generate data and reports.
Interact professionally with customers and peers, demonstrating strong customer service skills.
Withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and operate in austere environments.
Support up to an 84‑hour extended work week.
Hold a valid U.S. passport that will not expire for at least two years and has at least four consecutive blank pages for visas.
Meet fitness standards for deployment to the SWA of Operations.
Lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
Complete other duties as assigned.
BA/BS plus 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Radiation Safety Certification required.
U.S. Secret security clearance required.
Experience supporting Force Protection systems.
Experience with Radiation and Backscatter systems.
Experience with other PM FPS Systems such as BETSS‑C, Cerberus, Scout, IBD‑K, and RDISS.
Ability to train operators in use and maintenance of NIIS systems.
Experience using COLTS and operating within the GCSS‑A environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Import/Export (ITAR/EXIM) compliance experience.
Experience in a rapid‑paced, time‑sensitive, high‑quality environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong customer service.
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively.
Pay Range: $73,450.00 – $. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation.
