Executes departmental policies, procedures and guidelines as a member of the divisional Food Services TeamExecutes food services for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in accordance to Brand StandardsExecutes food service for Supportive Living Lifestyle options in accordance to Brand StandardsExecutes food services for special functions such as catering and theme dinners to ensure service meets established standardsConsistently ensures food quality, presentation, and service delivery meet established department standards; ensures meals are attractive, the correct temperature and portion size, and that service is timelyIntroduces self to new resident in the dining rooms as part of resident orientation / welcomeResponds to resident food service needs and expectations in accordance to service expectationsExecutes the process for checking and receiving of deliveries and inventory control; ensures all supplies are stored, labelled, and rotated properlyExecutes the preparation processes for meal serviceEffectively uses all available resources towards satisfaction and financial goalsLeverages menus, menu costs, recipe binders, and production sheets to guide food preparationParticipates in the new menu development processMaintains safety and sanitation in the department to meet legislative / organizational standardsAdheres to both provincial and Shannex food safety standards and holds team to the same standardsAdditional duties as required.About You

Culinary Arts Diploma and a valid Red Seal Journey man Cook CertificateCurrent Advanced Food Handler’s CertificateMinimum of 3-5 years of operational experience in a high-volume kitchenKnowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentationExperience in preparing large quantities of foodAbility to read & follow detailed recipes/instructions as requiredA passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and careAbout Us
