Assistant Maintenance Director – Skilled Nursing Facility

We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and self-motivated Assistant Maintenance Director with prior skilled nursing facility experience

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building issues
• Inspect, maintain, and repair wheelchairs, hospital beds, and other resident equipment
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and safety concerns
• Complete preventive-maintenance tasks and required documentation
• Help ensure compliance with applicable SNF, life-safety, and building regulations
• Maintain tools, mechanical areas, and work spaces in a clean and safe condition
• Assist with inspections, emergencies, and special projects
• Coordinate with facility staff, outside vendors, and contractors
• Be available to respond to occasional emergency and after-hours calls

• Previous maintenance experience in a skilled nursing facility is required
• Proficiency in electrical work, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs
• Experience maintaining and repairing wheelchairs and hospital beds
• Familiarity with SNF regulations, surveys, inspections, and life-safety requirements
• Ability to work independently, recognize priorities, and complete assignments with limited supervision
• Dependable, organized, and able to respond calmly to urgent situations
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to interact respectfully with residents, families, staff, and vendors
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform the physical duties of the position
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Must successfully complete all required background checks
