Maintenance Mechanic II

Shift & Schedule

1st and 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 3:00 AM (overtime and weekends as required).

Responsible for maintaining production equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Follows GMP and SOPs to ensure a safe and quality product. Assists with disassembly, reassembly, and installation as needed. Identifies problems through observation, listening, and test equipment.

• Satisfactory completion of a three‑year formal training program or three years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and schematics.
• Experience in food and/or manufacturing environments.

• Perform critical systems operation duties, troubleshoot equipment, and resolve problems quickly and correctly. Expedite repair through hands‑on work and allocation of department resources.
• Lead support for Operations in setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting key new production lines during launch of two new lines.
• Execute installation, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and modifications for pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Ensure GMP guidelines, safety procedures, and SOPs are followed at all times.
• Maintain housekeeping regulations throughout all facility/mechanical areas.
• Train and instruct technicians per SOPs and related documents in maintenance and operation of equipment.
• Work with maintenance management daily, adjusting priorities as needed.
• Communicate with production, quality, and other groups outside maintenance.
• Complete logbooks, PMs, and work orders, ensuring all entries are complete, accurate, and correct.
• Assist management with recommendations for equipment upgrades, maintenance improvements, and analysis of operational parameters.
• Support project execution within facility areas, ensuring all systems remain validated.
• Implement change controls and support investigations, including root‑cause analysis.
• Complete all training requirements and maintain 100% compliance with assigned tasks.
• Maintain work areas and perform job functions safely and efficiently per company policies and procedures.
• Operate machinery and mechanical equipment, completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; troubleshoot malfunctions per diagrams and specifications.
• Identify problems through observation, listening, and use of test equipment.
• Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to maintain continuity among work teams.
• Analyze mechanical and operational problems, plan and implement corrective actions.
• Make necessary corrections and adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting, and stair climbing.
• Normal vision, hearing sensitivity, and manual dexterity necessary for the position.
• Fast‑paced product/packaging work environment.
