Maintenance Service Tech

Overview

The Villas of Hammond, a beautiful apartment community managed by Rich Smith Management, is seeking an experienced and motivated Apartment Service Technician to join our maintenance team. If you have a strong background in apartment maintenance and take pride in providing excellent customer service, we want to hear from you!

This position plays a critical role in maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of our community and ensuring a high-quality living environment for our residents.

This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive Position. Service Technicians must maintain full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely perform all job duties.

The Apartment Service Technician reports directly to the Community Manager and is responsible for, but not limited to:

• Performing daily maintenance and repair work throughout the property
• Responding to and completing service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Conducting preventive maintenance to ensure long-term property performance
• Performing pool care and basic pool maintenance
• Assisting with landscaping and grounds upkeep
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area
• Providing excellent customer service to residents and staff

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

• HVAC or EPA certification (preferred)
• Pool operation and maintenance experience (a plus)
• Minimum 1 year of multifamily maintenance experience, with a strong focus on:
  Repairs
• Preventive maintenance
• Resident customer service
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to reach overhead for extended periods
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
