Position Summary
Perform routine housekeeping and changeover tasks on an as‑needed basis to prepare the facility for events. Most work is performed in public spaces with exposure to the general public. The schedule is irregular, requiring shifts during nights, weekends and holidays.
Major Responsibilities- Perform housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, trash removal, carpet extraction, and glass cleaning.
- Perform setup, breakdown, and changeover tasks as needed for events.
- Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events, including setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, dance floor, staging, furnishings and equipment.
- Ensure day‑to‑day operations of the facility, including loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to the proper disposal area, and replenishing supplies.
- Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns, or loss of property promptly to the Operations Manager.
- Perform light maintenance repairs to event setup and cleaning equipment using hand and power tools.
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, vertical lifts, golf carts, and other motorized vehicles properly; obtain certification within 45 days of starting date if required.
- Read and understand event notes written in English.
Work is performed in a fast‑paced environment that requires multitasking and meeting overlapping deadlines. Hours are irregular, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical requirements include the ability to walk extended distances for 8–10 hours a day, climb stairs, and lift 50–75 pounds.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- High School diploma or GED equivalence.
- Minimum age 18.
- Reliable transportation.
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Team orientation; works well with others.
- Organizes and prioritizes work to meet deadlines.
- Works effectively under pressure and adapts to changing situations.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Availability to work days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Mechanical aptitude helpful.
- Physical ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform tasks that involve extended walking and stair climbing.
