Part‑time Parks Technician. This role preserves natural beauty and maintains parks, green spaces and facilities in Hampton.
Minimum Qualifications- Minimum 1 year full‑time equivalent experience as a technician, equipment operator or skilled labor position, preferably in multiple areas. High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record per City of Hampton criteria.
- Position is safety sensitive and requires testing for alcohol and controlled substances per City policy.
- Must successfully pass a background check related to the position prior to employment or promotion.
- Shift work including evenings, weekends, holidays and rotating on‑call emergency standby.
- May be considered "essential personnel" during City emergencies at city manager direction, which may involve long hours and unusual schedules.
