We are looking for someone who values teamwork, takes ownership of their role, and is passionate about serving guests with warmth and hospitality.

As a hotel engineer, you'll troubleshoot and repair hotel equipment, facilities, and systems (including HVAC and electrical). Your duties include performing preventive maintenance, conducting inspections, coordinating maintenance staff, diagnosing problems, and staying within budget.

• Perform routine maintenance around the building, such as fixing structural damage (window, door, or wall repair).
• Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore use of fixtures.
• Work on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
• Maintain building HVAC equipment to keep climate control functional.
• Apply preventative measures, such as sealant on a flat roof, to reduce future problems.
• Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Paint the building when old paint has faded or chipped.
• Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Program phone equipment according to hotel needs.
• Work with and train hotel maintenance staff in a variety of areas.
• Maintain quality of appearance of interior and exterior of the hotel.
• Paint and stain walls, trim, and doors.
• Repair wallpaper, carpet, sheetrock, and doors of the hotel.
• Keep an orderly and well‑stocked inventory of finishing supplies needed in the hotel.
• Maintain a superior quality in the guest rooms.
• Check operation of all guest room equipment.
• Correct minor problems and report major problems to the General Manager.
• Keep records of rooms completed.
• Ensure par‑stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
• Inspect and repair minor problems in common areas.
• Learn emergency procedures.
• Ensure safe operation of all equipment, chemicals, and lockout procedures.
• Report to work for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
• Know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position.

• High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree, technical school and/or equivalent experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Customer service skills required.
• Prioritization and time‑management skills required.
• Strong attention to detail.
