- Incumbents must be at least 18 years of age. Graduation from high school or successful completion of the GED preferred.
- One (1) year of experience as a grounds technician, equipment operator, or in a skilled labor position preferred. Previous experience working on golf courses desirable.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; perform heavy outside manual labor; good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Registered Technician Pesticide License preferred.
- Position is safety sensitive and subject to testing for alcohol and controlled substances per City’s policy.
- Must successfully pass a background check related to this position prior to an offer of employment or promotion.
- Incumbent performs duties with general direction from a team leader or more senior technician but works within a team to carry out specific assignments without constant supervision.
- Duty may be performed on nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Frequent contact with the general public and other employees is required.
- Position is non-exempt.

- Part‑time position: weekly hours no more than 25 hours per week, and may be less.
