POSITION SUMMARY:The Maintenance Supervisor will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and will lead the Maintenance team in effective execution of assigned projects and day to day plant front line support. They will manage the Preventive Maintenance program and provide strategy to ensure maximum effectiveness. Responsible for development and promotion of internal personnel to expand and increase effectiveness of existing team. This position is responsible for providing front line employee leadership and coaching and will be viewed as a leader within the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintenance Supervisor:
- Promote a "safety first" culture within the Maintenance Team and all other departments.
- Promote a culture of "World Class Maintenance" in all actions and decisions taken or made.
- Confer with Maintenance Manager/Director on maintenance projects.
- Recommend measures to continuously improve equipment efficiency.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Quality and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) established company policies and procedures.
- Manage inter/intradepartmental relationships to maintain high levels of employee engagement.
- Provide supervision of assigned employees in scheduling, time off requests and daily activities, ensure effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action, and performance management.
- Train and develop employees to build capability.
- Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams and Lean initiatives.
- Responsible for overseeing Harvest, Process, B&G and Fabrication maintenance team members.
- Work closely with Maintenance Planners to execute scheduled work in a timely manner.
- Responsible for all CMMS documentation created by maintenance personnel.
- Work closely with operations to provide meaningful suggestions to improve their training programs.
- Responsible for adhering to all department KPI's as assigned by management.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and professional maintenance shop and working areas
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Troubleshoot equipment electro-mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiencies.
- Responsible for troubleshooting equipment including Gearboxes, pumps, drive systems, Air compressors, Conveyors, Dryers, Packaging Machinery, Labeling Machinery, Palletizers, Wrappers, Case Packers and industrial equipment such as Forklifts, Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts, etc.
- Responsible for compliance in LOTO (Lockout-Tagout); cGMP's and Safety-OSHA and Food Safety.
- Facilitate scheduling of capital projects by coordinating with Production Team.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and track capital project deliverables and report progress.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
