As a Maintenance Repairman 1 with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), you will have the exciting opportunity to support the daily care of Point State Park’s buildings, machinery, and grounds. - Perform routine upkeep on buildings, restrooms, and park infrastructure.
- Clean public areas, collect waste material, and maintain lawns and landscaped spaces.
- Operate and maintain park machinery including mowers, tractors, trimmers, and skid steers.
- Assist with electrical and mechanical repairs for the park fountain and reflecting pool.
- Respond to weather conditions by removing snow and clearing debris from walkways and wharfs.
- Use basic masonry, plumbing, electrical, and irrigation knowledge for maintenance tasks.
- Full-time employment.
- Work schedule:
5 days per week, 37.5 hours total, including a 30‑minute lunch. - Shift work may include holidays, weekends, and evenings.
- Telework is not available for this position.
- Salary details are provided during the hiring process; starting salary may be non‑negotiable.
- Minimum two years of general maintenance experience involving at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
- Or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
- Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
