Corrections Wastewater Treatment Plant Foreman at State Correctional Institution (SCI) ation:
Mercer County, PA. Status:
Non-Civil Service Permanent Full-time. Salary: $49,010.00 – $98,728.00 annually.

Work hours:

7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

• Maintain smooth and efficient operation of the wastewater treatment plant under normal and emergency conditions.
• Operate and maintain plant machinery such as pumps, motors, filters, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform water testing of influent and effluent, maintain logs and records.
• Guide inmate work crew, monitor movement, and maintain security procedures in work areas.
• Complete paperwork, order supplies, and make recommendations for equipment or process improvements.

• Minimum one year experience in operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant.
• Valid certification issued by Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems Operators at Class E, Subclasses 1 and 4 or higher.
• Valid Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
• Completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA required.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass background investigation and meet CJIS compliance requirements.

Full retirement benefits eligible at age 50 or 55.
