UREC Facilities Manager

University Recreation (UREC) is currently seeking applicants for the Facilities Manager position. The Facilities Manager serves on the University Recreation (UREC) staff and reports to the Associate Director of Facilities & Operations. This position provides maintenance oversight for UREC's indoor and outdoor satellite facilities, ensuring safe, functional, and program-ready environments that support recreation programs, sport competitions, special events, and university engagement.

UREC is a Health & Well-being department within the Student Affairs division. The mission of UREC is to promote and advance healthy lifestyles through educational programs, participation opportunities and supportive services. UREC's qualified staff is committed to excellence and responsive to the developmental needs of their participants. UREC's award-winning main facility is 278,515 square feet of recently expanded and renovated space.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Satellite Facility Maintenance
• Shared Facility Maintenance
• Administration
• Collaboration

Qualifications:

• Experience in facility maintenance
• Experience in equipment maintenance and repair
• Basic computer skills
• Valid Driver's License

Additional Considerations:

• Experience in outdoor sport and recreation facility maintenance (ex: line painting, turf grooming, natural grass maintenance, outdoor plumbing)
• Experience in outdoor/recreational equipment maintenance and repair (ex: scoreboards, sport goals)
• Experience independently overseeing internal and external contractors for maintenance and repair projects
• Experience driving/operating specialty outdoor vehicles/machinery (ex: turf groomer, turf field liner)
• Experience utilizing software programs relevant to position
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain strong relationships across the university and with vendors
