The Liberty Group is hiring an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for an immediate opportunity at a residential community in Middletown, CT.

This position is being advertised in the Hartford market, but the daily worksite is in Middletown. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to Middletown consistently.

This is not an entry-level maintenance-helper position. Candidates should have previous apartment, multifamily, or residential property maintenance experience and be able to complete common service requests and apartment turns with limited supervision.

• Responding to resident maintenance requests
• Preparing vacant apartments for move-in
• Troubleshooting basic plumbing and electrical problems
• Repairing toilets, faucets, drains, outlets, switches, and fixtures
• Completing drywall repairs, painting, caulking, and minor carpentry
• Repairing or replacing basic appliance components
• Changing locks, hardware, and light fixtures
• Assisting with preventive maintenance
• Maintaining common areas and property appearance
• Communicating professionally with residents and onsite staff

• At least one year of apartment, multifamily, or residential property maintenance experience
• Previous experience completing resident work orders and apartment turns
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, appliances, and general repairs
• Ability to complete routine maintenance tasks independently
• Reliable transportation to Middletown
• Basic hand tools
• Dependable attendance and professional communication
• Availability to begin promptly

EPA or HVAC certification is a plus but is not required.

Candidates whose experience is limited to landscaping, cleaning, warehouse work, automotive repair, or unrelated general labor will not be considered for this particular opening.
