Job Overview
As a Special Electronic Devices Repairer in the Army National Guard, you will ensure that vital instruments and tools are meticulously maintained and operational. Instruments include night vision equipment, electronic distance and azimuth‑orienting devices, battlefield illumination devices, nuclear, biological, and chemical warning and measuring devices, and others.
Responsibilities- Test instruments, navigation controls, and simulators.
- Read technical diagrams and manuals.
- Replace parts and ensure quality control measures.
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment.
- Supervise and train other Soldiers (advanced level).
- Interest in mathematics, problem solving, and electronic equipment repair.
- Strong attention to detail.
Requires 10 weeks of Basic Training covering basic Soldiering skills, followed by 25 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Training includes classroom instruction, equipment practice, and simulated combat field exercises.
