Position OverviewWe are currently looking for an Inventory Coordinator to be based out of Harvey, Illinois. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor (Inventory Control), the candidate will support inventory data accuracy, replenish levels, and allocate materials for customer demand. The ideal candidate will have 0‑3 years of experience in inventory control, with experience in lean manufacturing or business‑system‑based environments being desirable.
Responsibilities- Manage data review and transactions in WMS as material is received, cycle‑counted, and shipped.
- Track and expedite lost or missing parts for internal and external customers.
- Administer the cycle‑count program, including creating audit sheets, updating the stock locator system, investigating variances, and tracking bin accuracy.
- Ensure accuracy of all transactions, including back‑orders, by examining PO’s and investigating discrepancies, missing or excess items.
- Support specialty inventory transactions such as RMA processing, loose and lost materials, and internal fulfillment ship errors.
- Assist on the operations floor with an organized inventory system, highlight and mitigate process failures that diminish accuracy.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for secondary outsourcing processes.
- Draft routing reports and intra‑department communications and calculate figures across variable units of measure.
- 0‑3 years of experience in inventory control.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical ability to analyze information and create value‑adding reports.
- Experience with WMS, JDE, and RF Smart is highly desired.
- Experience with lean and Six Sigma processes and/or Lean/Six Sigma certification desired.
