Travel Nurse Source is partnering with Prime Staffing to seek a qualified Telemetry RN for Harvey, Illinois, 60426. The successful candidate will assess acute changes in patients, work in a fast‑paced environment, and use rhythm strip interpretation, EKGs, and cardiac drips such as dobutamine, amiodarone, and cardizem. The position requires competence in rhythm strip interpretation, cardiac telemetry, and central line management.
The RN is responsible for all aspects of tracheostomy care/management.
• Assess acute changes in patients and execute bedside nursing interventions.
• Interpret EKG raster strips and perform EKG strip testing at orientation.
• Initiate and maintain cardiac drips without titration, including dobutamine, amiodarone, and cardizem.
• Manage blood product administration, central line care/management, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, isolation precautions/PPE, tracheostomy care/management, and peripheral line care.
Required experience and certification:
- 1 year RN experience.
- IL RN license, IL LPN/LVN license, and IL CNA license in hand.
- ACLS, BLS certifications.
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, central line care, feeding tube care, and tracheostomy management.
- Proficiency in Epic charting system.
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips.
- Experience with blood product administration and continuous bladder irrigation.
- Capacity to work nights, weekends every other weekend, faults, floating.
Other requirements: 1. Starts 7/20/2026. 2. Contract is 13 weeks.
3. Shift: Nights 3x12 (18:45-07:15). 4. Remote enrollment technology.
5. Must be local (locals accepted) for the same bill rate.
6. Block schedule allowed upon request. 7. RTO no more than 3 days; no RTO first or last week of contract. 8. No more than 7 days maximum RTO. 9. Must maintain license within two weeks of application. 10. Use legal first and last name for background check.
Patient Ratio: 1:6 (may go to 6 at times).
Staffing & Scheduling: Other; weekend coverage true; float required; call required.
