Emergency Medicine, RN Nurse
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Emergency Department
. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a wide range of emergency and trauma cases, thrive in a high-acuity environment, and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Assess, prioritize, and provide emergency nursing care for patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient conditions while responding rapidly to changes in clinical status.
- Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, and emergency interventions.
- Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity.
- Assist with trauma resuscitations, procedural sedation, ventilator management, and critical care interventions.
- Manage patients with medical, surgical, behavioral health, and trauma-related emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies.
- Minimum one (1) year of Emergency Room experience required.
- Prior experience in an Urban Level I Trauma Emergency Department required; teaching hospital experience preferred.
- Experience with critical care, trauma, triage, conscious sedation, and emergency interventions
. - Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records preferred.

AHA BLS

, PALS
, and NIHSS
. - Preferred
Certifications:
TNCC and CPI
. - Strong clinical judgment, communication, and multitasking skills.
- 13-week contract position (possible extensions)
- Shift is 12 hrs/night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hrs/week
- Location is Harvey, IL 60426
- Pay Rate for Locals: $46 - $50 Hourly
- Pay Rate for Travelers: $2,000 - $2,050 weekly
