American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active IL RN license and at least 2 years of recent experience.
Details- Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- Uses Epic charting system
- Active IL RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required, NIHSS preferred
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Experience in telemetry, respiratory care, and tracheostomy care/management
- Provide medical-surgical nursing care with a focus on cardiac and respiratory monitoring
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO limited to 7 days maximum, with no RTO permitted during the first or last week of the contract
- Block scheduling requests must be discussed prior to offer acceptance
- Former UChicago Medicine, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must have a 7-month gap before returning as a traveler
