American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring an active IL RN license and at least 2 years of recent experience.

• -to-nurse ratio of 1:6 on the Medical Surgical unit
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Charting completed in Epic
• 13-week assignment length

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI certification preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience in telemetry, respiratory care, and tracheostomy care/management preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Nursys report required (pulled within the last 2 weeks)

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical Surgical unit
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to emergent dysrhythmias
• Manage tracheostomy and respiratory care needs as required
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days, with no more than 3 days off at a time and none during the first or last week of the contract
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former UCM, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must have been separated for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
