Job Summary

Emergency Department (ED/ER) – Full‑time night shift. 3‑12 hour shifts, 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m.

Registered Nurse (RN) provides rapid, high‑quality care to patients with acute illness, injury, and life‑threatening conditions in a fast‑paced Emergency Department.

• Assess, prioritize, and triage patients using established clinical protocols.
• Provide emergency nursing care, treatments, and life‑saving interventions.
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered.
• Monitor patient condition, interpret clinical findings, and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with emergency procedures, trauma care, diagnostic testing, and patient stabilization.
• Operate and monitor emergency and life‑support equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive clinical outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate at hire and maintained.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital; ER experience preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintained.
• EDAP certified facilities:
  Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.
• Non‑OB facilities: NRP certificate within 90 days of hire and maintained.
• Trauma designated facilities:
  Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire and maintained. Non‑trauma facilities: TNCC preferred.

The total compensation for this role typically ranges from $35.35 to $53.58 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time the candidate is selected, considering factors such as skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
