Job Description:

We are seeking a vigilant and reliable individual to join our team as an Unarmed Security Officer. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safety and security of our client s premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong observational skills, effective communication abilities, good customer service skills, and the capability to handle potentially stressful situations with professionalism and composure.

• Patrol assigned areas regularly to deter and detect unauthorized activity.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to any suspicious behavior or security breaches.
• Conduct thorough inspections of the premises to ensure all doors, windows, and access points are secure.
• Respond promptly to requests for assistance or emergencies, such as medical incidents, disturbances, or accidents.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports detailing security incidents, disturbances, and any other noteworthy activities that occur during shifts.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and clients with inquiries, directions, and other needs.
• Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when necessary.
• Follow company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to uphold security standards and ensure compliance.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and relevant laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
• Complete CPR/AED, NIMS, and other required training.

• Proven experience as a security officer or guard (2+ years preferred).
• 20-hour state certification and PERC Card (Required).
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Good computer skills.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Valid Driver s License.
• Reliable transportation.
• High School diploma required; further education in security administration or a similar field preferred.
