Join a respected construction organization delivering high-quality commercial projects throughout the Chicago area. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on construction leader who can take ownership of complex jobsites, coordinate multiple trades, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. As Superintendent, you will play a central role in guiding projects from mobilization through final turnover while collaborating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Manage daily field operations and oversee subcontractor activities.
Coordinate all trades, maintain project schedules, and monitor progress through completion.
Lead daily huddles and subcontractor coordination meetings.
Review architectural drawings, engineering plans, specifications, and project documents.
Monitor workmanship, quality standards, jobsite safety, and OSHA compliance.
Coordinate inspections, resolve field issues, and identify potential delays or conflicts.
Coordinate material deliveries, site logistics, and sequencing of construction activities.
Communicate project updates to the Project Manager and maintain accurate daily reports, logs, schedules, and documentation.
Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to support successful project execution.
Manage punch lists, project closeout, and final turnover.
2+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
Previous experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
Strong knowledge of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and field operations.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Strong understanding of OSHA and construction safety requirements.
Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors, priorities, and project activities.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel to jobsites throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.
