JOB OVERVIEW:
We areseekinga highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic this role, you will play a crucial part inoptimizingour manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the production of high-quality components
This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams toensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes for newand existing products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process Development:Develop,optimize, and standardize processes, tooling/ fixturing,andequipmentfor newand legacy products, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Develops manufacturing procedures, methods, and standards;andmonitorstheir proper execution.
Responsible for new product introductions including routed processes, BOM's, In-Process drawings, gaging and including the design/procurement/manufacture of special tooling.
Works proactivelytopreventproblems andpreparesfor upcoming jobs in advance of their scheduled start dates. - CNC:Demonstratea comprehensive understanding of CNC machine operations and the specific applications of various machines to effectively and accurately develop processes.
- Equipment Selection:Select and recommend appropriate machining equipment,tooling, andfixturingto support all departments and processes.
- Fixture Design:Design and implement fixtures and tooling toimprove part accuracy, reduce setup times,and enhance overall productivity.
- Process Validation:Conduct process validation and capability studies to verifyrobustnessand reliability. Implement quality control measures tomonitorand maintain product quality. Analyze production data toidentifyand address quality issues. Collaborate with
QAteam to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards. - Documentation:Create andmaintaindetailed process documentation, including work instructions, routings, and quality plans.
Developandmaintainstandard operating procedures and training guides. - Continuous Improvement:Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Take aleadership role in Set-up reduction.
Stayup to datewith the latest advancements inmanufacturingtechnology and practices. - Collaboration:Work closely with design engineers,manufacturing engineers,quality engineers, andmanufacturingpersonnel to ensure smooth product launch.
Incorporate feedback from prototype and production runs to correct job standards and work instructions. - Problem Solving:Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Other:Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Process Development:Develop,optimize, and standardize processes, tooling/ fixturing,andequipmentfor newand legacy products, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degreein engineeringor equivalent jobexperienceisrequired.
- A minimum of5yearsof direct experience in CNCprogramming,setup,and operating.
- Understanding of CNC machining.
- Understanding of secondary processes like heat treat, plating, and NDT.
- CAD skills are required– Siemens NX is a plus.
- CAM skills recommended
- ERP – familiarity with an ERP software (M2M preferred)
- Strong GD&T skills are required.
- Understanding of different types of materials for processing.
- Understanding of Root Cause Analysis.
- Microsoft Office skills are required.
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
- Knowledge of the 8-D problem solving method is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills are needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
