Job Overview
The Building and Grounds Worker will be responsible for monitoring the overall condition of the Marina and ensuring its cleanliness. The candidate will perform a range of tasks from general cleaning to handling emergencies, and coordinate with the Buildings Supervisor to identify and facilitate repairs.
Duties- Restrooms, public and staff;
- Laundry room;
- Showers;
- Office, Ship's Store and other building areas used by public & employees;
- Trash receptacles are emptied before they are full;
- Litter pick-up from docks, water surface, parking lots, roads and other.
- Haul out—wash boat bottoms and assist with shrink wrap;
- Launch — remove shrink wrap and put up canvas;
- Snow removal.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs required;
- Heavy lifting required;
- Working in high places sometimes required;
- Knowledge of painting preparation and painting;
- Ability to safely use power tools required.
