• Coordinate, prioritize, assign, and monitor daily work activities, work orders, service requests, schedules, and resources to support timely and effective completion of work.
• Provide technical guidance and work direction to employees, monitor work quality and recurring concerns, and communicate significant issues and recommendations to leadership.
• Support project development, planning, coordination, and execution, confirm scope, schedule, and budget requirements, and ensure project changes and closeout documentation are completed.
• Coordinate work activities and schedules with various stakeholders and serve as a departmental liaison for general maintenance.
• Ensure work complies with applicable safety requirements, codes, manufacturer guidance, University and departmental standards, and established procedures.
• Evaluate recurring issues, facility and equipment conditions, preventive maintenance needs, and work practices and provide recommendations to improve reliability, consistency, safety, and service delivery.
• Generate required activity, outage, and work coordination notifications and maintain accurate work orders and operational documentation.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical instruction and feedback to staff and students, including reviewing completed work for quality, completeness, and compliance.
• Perform general, corrective, and preventive maintenance on campus facilities, equipment, building components, and related systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and assess facility and equipment conditions to identify maintenance needs, operational deficiencies, safety concerns, and appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare estimates for repairs, replacements, upgrades, and project work.
• Support leadership and contribute to departmental goals, standards, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to urgent requests and campus emergencies and participate in scheduled weekend and after hours on call rotations.

• High school or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience, education, or a combination of both in facility maintenance, building systems, skilled trades, or comparable work.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facility equipment, building components, or related systems.
• 1+ years providing work direction, technical guidance, training, or mentoring to others.
• Advanced knowledge of general maintenance operations, preventive maintenance practices, repair methods, minor construction activities, and related facilities operations.
