Key Responsibilities:

• Comply with all Bethany Community Services policies and procedures, including safety standards and operational guidelines.
• Promote and implement safe work practices among on-site staff and ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the property, including buildings, facilities, and grounds, both indoor and outdoor.
• Follow specific departmental policies and procedures as instructed by supervisors.
• Diagnose and repair issues across various systems and areas, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, and water features such as pools and spas.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of maintenance requests.

Skills and

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in building maintenance, repair, or a related field.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair techniques.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of maintenance issues.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
• On-call rotation-stipend

Requirements

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude
• Bilingual/English/Spanish a plus

Preparation, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English is required.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds or more on occasion may be required.
• This position may require standing, sitting, or kneeling for long periods of time and occasionally require working in hard-to-reach areas.
