Job Description- Job Title: PDR Specialist
- Reports to: Service Manager
- FLSA Status: Non-exempt
- Division: HPC
- Department: Service
- Union: ILWU
- Under the direction of the Service Manager, monitor, coordinate, and perform duties related to the rental and sales inventory.
- Maintain trucks and equipment; clean and pressure wash trucks and equipment; perform minor repairs and basic preventative maintenance for all manufacturers.
- Maintain the rental yard and demonstrate trucks and equipment.
- Wash, fuel, and perform basic preventative maintenance per manufacturer specifications (240hr or first service only).
- Perform minor repairs including electrical, chassis, and engine components as described; all major repairs are conducted in the main repair shop.
- Demonstrate the safe and proper use of all trucks and equipment to customers.
- Report to and assist the Service Manager.
- Complete all other duties as requested.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Must have PC skills.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Must be forklift certified or able to be certified within 60 days.
- Must have some operational and mechanical knowledge of rental trucks and equipment.
- Must be able to work with internal and external customers in a courteous and diplomatic manner.
- Walking, standing, bending, and kneeling; ability to operate equipment and hand/power tools.
- Lift up to 60 lbs daily; exposure to uneven terrain.
- Reaching, stooping, climbing in/out of equipment, and working in varied positions.
- Vision, hearing, and communication requirements for safe operations and customer interactions.
- Noise in work areas; outdoor and shop environments with temperature variations.
- Exposure to odors, fumes, and harsh substances.
