Location: East Honolulu

This role will be located at Makena Golf and Beach Club. Makena is seeking an HOA Technician to join the HOA Department. The Technician maintains all building equipment in good working condition, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical; lighting and climate control systems; roofing systems; ground support equipment, and maintenance/cleaning equipment. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs minor building maintenance, common area cleaning, electrical, staining and painting assessments/repairs in HOA areas at the direction of HOA leadership.
  • Always provides exceptional service and communication with homeowners, members, rental guests, and team members.
  • Executes member requests promptly and with professional demeanor.
  • Inspects all work to ensure the highest quality of service.
  • Reports any emergency needs to the HOA leadership.
  • Maintains a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrates respect for and appreciation of Hawaiian values, history and culture, understanding its implication in one’s work, in fostering meaningful relationships, and in embracing the community served.
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience and proven success in a maintenance position for luxury homes or condos. Experience with plumbing, drywall, electrical, carpentry, appliance and painting repairs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests and team members.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate computer.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than four (4) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling.
