Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products—including chemicals, baits, and traps—to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment.
- Provide advice to reduce the risk of future infestations.
- Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, and assist with sales to current customers and expansion to new customers.
- Ensure all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle (routine maintenance provided).
- Working in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Working around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
- Operating in various climates using company‑provided weather gear.
- Engaging in frequent physical activity: sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, moving up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal the face).
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license from the state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
- Licenses and certifications required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the company).
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
- Openness to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for product mixing instructions.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
Annual earning potential starts at over $40,000 (average compensation includes base pay plus commission) during the first 12 months. Actual annual potential is based on individual performance, and top technicians earn well over $100,000. Base pay range is $17.00–$23.00 per hour, varying by location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
