Job Summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and attention to detail to clean and maintain a commercial location.

All applicants must pass HBM prescreen check and have a valid Hawaii driver’s license. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for cleaning common areas, maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues. Schedule: Sunday: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM, Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM, Friday: 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM, Saturday: 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM (24 hours weekly)

Hourly Rate: $17.50

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all common areas within the facility.
• Operate a golf cart to navigate the property.
• Clean and organize office spaces to uphold a professional environment.
• Clean and maintain six restrooms; restock supplies and ensure they are clean and sanitary.
• Use vacuum equipment to thoroughly clean indoor flooring.
• Sweep and mop both interior and exterior floors, and clean glass doors and mirrors to a high standard.
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces, including wiping down all tables and chairs to promote hygiene.
• Collect and properly dispose of trash from designated areas, including lifting trash from bins and transporting it as needed.
• Safely maneuver trash bins and navigate staircases as part of waste‑management duties.

• Must pass HBM prescreen check.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have a valid Hawaii driver’s license.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Effective verbal communication skills in English.
• Capacity to access and navigate two floors via elevator and stairways.
• Physical capability to lift, bend, and handle trash disposal tasks.
• Experience operating a golf cart is preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor‑maintenance tools.
• Ability to perform basic manual labor, including lifting, pressing, pushing, pulling, carrying a minimum of 30 lbs (up to 50 lbs), reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, walking, stair and ladder climbing, and standing throughout shifts.
