Compensation: $23.00/hour

The Parking Meter Technician maintains and repairs parking meters to ensure they function correctly. This driving position requires a valid CA Driver’s License held for at least 2 years.

Full‑time: 6:45 am–3:15 pm Monday‑Friday or Tuesday‑Saturday

• Install new parking meters and perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with parking meters.
• Keep records of maintenance activities and meter statuses.
• Coordinate with the site supervisor to address and prioritize meter issues.
• Assist Supervisor with coin revenue collection from meters.
• Assist with any special assignments and projects as requested.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• High School graduate or equivalent.

• General knowledge of streets and directions required.
• Repair and maintenance of electronic equipment.
• Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic parking meters or similar equipment.
• Communicating with clients and field personnel, receiving feedback and taking reports from field issues.
• Receiving shipments, maintaining inventory logs, and organizing pallets in a warehouse.
• Online and Android software used to manage and troubleshoot equipment issues.

• Ability to work independently and multi‑task.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.
• Open to feedback, differing opinions, and other points of view.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English.
• Technology savvy.
• Possess an electrical/mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to handle electronic equipment and parts.
• Ability to utilize hand tools and electronics testing devices as required.
• Safety minded.

• Willingness to work in the elements—heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time (95–100% of shift).
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
• Ability to handle pallet jack manually.
