AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC

THE POSITION: performs a variety of routine mechanical, electrical, and technical maintenance duties on motor vehicles, machinery and equipment, and performs other skilled and semi-skilled duties related to the daily maintenance of Kootenai County motorized equipment for assigned departments of the County.

• Have the ability to perform repairs on motor vehicles, boats, ATVs, machinery and other equipment
• Possess the ability to do metal fabrication and welding or the ability to learn
• Have their own tools
• Are detail orientated and organized

• Do you have high school diploma or GED and a minimum of five (5) years of experience and/or combination of education and experience?
• Do you possess or have the ability to obtain ASE Certification?
• Do you possess or have the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and be insurable?
