Salary Range: $27,000.00 annual ($13.84 per hour plus $0.30 per hour shift differential)

Hazard Community & Technical College is inviting applications for a Facilities Worker II. We are currently looking to fill a position for a Tuesday through Saturday shift (Tuesday to Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm) with the location primarily serving our Hazard Campus. Review of applications will begin February 16, 2026.
Job Duties- Perform grounds maintenance: mowing, weed eating, planting, snow removal, parking lot repairs.
- Perform general custodial duties: cleaning floors, offices, bathrooms, removal of trash.
- Perform set up of tables, chairs, stages, etc. for events on campus.
- Provides HVAC monitoring/maintenance.
- Performs basic installation of receptacles, switches, breakers, ballast; replaces light fixtures.
- Perform basic power equipment repairs and upkeep.
- Perform basic plumbing: water fountain installations, waterline repairs, valve repairs, drain line maintenance.
- Perform basic carpentry; dry walling, painting, door repair, installation of partitions, and installation of ceiling and floor tiles.
- May be assigned to other campuses or shifts as needed.
High school diploma/GED and one year related experience required. Basic computer/technology skills required.
Preferred QualificationsTechnology experience and knowledge of building mechanical maintenance preferred.
