Hazard Community & Technical College is seeking a Facilities Worker II to provide support in the Maintenance and Operations unit. The Facilities Worker II will primarily serve the Hazard Campus, Monday through Friday, 2nd shift, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Review of applications will begin September 1 2026.
Job DutiesDuties to include, but not be limited to:
- Groundskeeping to include grass cutting and weeding.
- Custodial to include cleaning of offices, bathrooms, classrooms, windows, floors, etc.
- Light maintenance to include minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
- Event set up and tear down.
- Other duties as assigned.
High School degree plus one year related experience.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with all types of groundskeeping machinery is preferred.
Additional Skills RequestedThis position will be required to lift and transport heavy objects. Applicants must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
This position will be required to operate groundskeeping equipment. Applicant will be expected to work outdoors to complete groundskeeping tasks.
