, which spans across Mi-Jack RTG cranes, Broderson industrial cranes, Lift King forklifts, and Greenfield equipment, is hiring a Power Systems Engineer. This is a hands‑on, forward‑thinking engineering leadership position responsible for managing multiple projects from concept through completion, supporting both current products and new product development focusing on drivetrain systems. The role operates within a structured product development process and a collaborative, cross‑functional team environment that values innovation and drives measurable organizational impact.

Essential Functions:

• Lead full product development cycles from conception through completion utilizing a stage‑gate process.
• Develop and present technical and project updates to technical management and Chief Engineers.
• Lead drivetrain design, development, integration and validation – basic transmission systems, steering, and engine components, through clear requirements, performance and dimensional specifications that capture engineering intent.
• Manage multi‑tiered Bills of Material (BOMs) and support integration with organizational ERP systems within a structured release environment (new releases and ECNs).
• Lead root cause analysis efforts, including interpretation of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
• Support quality initiatives such as DFMEA, PPAP, VAVE, and 6S.
• Collaborate with all machine system development groups and work with vendors and/or contractors; conduct site visits to support quality audits as required.
• Support Request for Quote (RFQ) processes and interpret customer contracts, assessing impacts to engineering scope, timelines, and cost.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting technical growth and professional development.

• Advanced proficiency with CAD software (Solid Works, Inventor, CREO / AutoCAD); experience with data management systems such as Teamcenter, Fusion 360, or Windchill. Able to work in both 3‑D and 2‑D design environments.
• Strong technical expertise in heavy equipment and mechanical systems, including familiarity with SAE / ISO specifications for off‑road and heavy equipment; knowledge of machinery operation.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assemblies, including drivetrain components (engine installation, transmission systems, and steering systems), and hands‑on testing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Understanding of Bills of Material within both drawings and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to drive projects to completion; ability to influence others regardless of position power or organizational boundaries.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, outside suppliers, and management.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a cross‑functional team environment.
