Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG
Responsible for all aspects of welding work.
Responsibilities- Perform all aspects of welding work.
- Safely operate heavy equipment and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other jobs within the shop as required (air‑arc, drilling holes, torching, grinding, etc.).
- Stay compliant with all regulatory bodies, safety rules and policies.
- Perform other duties as required and directed by management.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations, policies and procedures with a goal of zero incidents and injuries; assist in delivering required training.
- Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal & external).
- Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all company wide policies to reduce liability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience with flux‑core wire welding and fitting; welds subject to UT weld testing.
- Good communication, interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Eye for detail and thorough knowledge of applicable operating and documentation procedures and material flow.
- Ability to meet deadlines, understand and follow written and verbal instructions, posted work rules and procedures, accept constructive criticism.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.
- Physical ability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery.
- Accurate hand/eye coordination, finger dexterity, hand strength; able to lift up to 60 lbs, pull ~20 lbs, climb ladders or scaffolding.
- Welder will have no more than 90 days to meet the Welder Test Criteria; all welding process welders required to pass two full‑penetration groove weld tests, radiographically tested and interpreted to AWS D14.1 criterion.
- During interview, welder will take a written test and perform physical welding skills that will be UT tested.
The hourly pay range for this role is $22.00 to $26.00/hr; compensation offer may vary based on experience, education, skills and location. We offer competitive pay, paid time off and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k) plan.
