Overview

Major responsibilities include clinical care and health outcomes, patient satisfaction and operations, associate engagement/human resources, growth and funding our future, physician/provider engagement, and miscellaneous duties as directed by management. The role requires leadership to ensure compliance with AMG guidelines, patient safety, and efficient operations while delivering patient-centered care.

Major Responsibilities
  • Clinical Care and Health Outcomes - Provides support in the delivery of quality clinical care. Collaborates with the healthcare team and physician to ensure triage, telephone assessments, home therapies and patient visits adhere to established guidelines. Leads the clinical team to meet/exceed CI goals and assists physicians and associates in managing patient registries.
  • Ensure monthly office inspection checklists and required audits are conducted in a timely manner. Ensure AMG standing operating procedures are followed.
  • Oversee approved site research activities. Demonstrate independent problem solving, critical decision making, and know when to obtain additional resources. Hold clinical staff accountable to AMG rooming standards. Manage EMR tasks, overdue orders, test result follow-up and other patient follow-up in a timely manner. Take appropriate action in emergency situations and respond promptly to emergency calls. Identify, evaluate, and resolve potential safety problems, including equipment maintenance issues.
  • Ensure documentation of patient care services adheres to AMG systems and regulatory standards. Promote a safe environment, maintain HIPAA compliance, and ensure staff safety training and certifications are up to date.
  • Leads site clinical integration activities and promotes culture of safety. Implement process changes and staff education as needed.
Patient Satisfaction and Operations
  • Collaborate with manager/director and physician leadership to maintain a patient-centered environment evidenced by open access (same-day appointments, referrals, etc.) and achievement of Key Result Area (KRA) goals.
  • Monitor data monthly, review with clinical staff and physicians, and develop improvement plans to meet/exceed patient satisfaction targets.
  • Ensure adherence to AMG Service Standards, Behaviors of Excellence, AIDET and MVP. Improve processes, evaluate patient flow, reduce wait times, and keep patients informed of delays.
  • Maintain professional image and compliance with AMG clothing, grooming standards and identification; address patient complaints and practice service recovery. Foster a pleasant, professional environment over in-person and phone interactions; utilize scripting and telephone standards.
  • Ensure adequate clinical staffing by planning schedules and assignments. Coordinate managed care issues and nursing updates. Evaluate service levels and operational procedures and engage staff to resolve issues. Actively round on patients, associates and physicians to ensure resources and tools are available; participate in team huddles as needed.
Associate Engagement/Human Resources
  • Collaborate with practice manager on HR functions to ensure quality, development and retention consistent with AMG goals and associate satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and daily huddles; document meetings. Perform timely performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring. Orient and train new associates; document orientation, training and required competencies. Seek opportunities for ongoing education and leadership development. Ensure certification and continuing education units (CEUs) are maintained.
Growth and Funding our Future
  • Support initiatives that enhance practice growth and patient retention. Promote same-day access and target volume visits. Maintain inventory control and medication supply utilization. Manage staff schedules to minimize overtime and temporary staff. Collaborate with practice site manager to achieve revenue and cost targets. Maximize team efficiency by utilizing all team members.
Physician/Provider Engagement
  • Provide onboarding support to new physicians/providers. Round with physicians/providers daily to address staff issues and resolve operational/clinical concerns. Engage physicians/providers in improving processes, workflow and EMR concerns. Assist physicians/providers with patient care and safety issues. Review physician/provider satisfaction results and collaborate on improvement plans.
Miscellaneous
  • Fulfills additional duties as directed by manager/director. Participate in meetings, committees and projects. Stay current with clinical standards via literature and professional development. Maintain licensure and complete required CEUs. Perform other duties as assigned. Perform clinical duties as needed by the practice site(s) or manager.
