Maintenance Technician Job Description
- This role focuses on performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of industrial machinery in a modern manufacturing facility
- You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- The position offers exposure to advanced automation, robotics, and CNC equipment in a brand-new building with new machinery
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and corrective repairs on industrial machinery across multiple production areas
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, including testing system pressures, interpreting hydraulic circuits, and identifying issues within the hydraulic circuit
- Read and interpret hydraulic prints to diagnose problems and perform tasks such as changing out or troubleshooting hydraulic pumps
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting using a voltmeter to check differences between circuits and identify faults
- Troubleshoot electrical panels up to 480V and 24V automated systems, including 3-phase motors, switches, fuses, relays, and sensors
- Change out and repair electrical motors, switches, fuses, relays, and sensors as required to maintain equipment uptime
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to support accurate and efficient maintenance and repair activities
- Troubleshoot pneumatic pump systems, including understanding their operation, determining when to change them out, and diagnosing issues with pumps and valves
- Work within automated and robotic systems, assisting with troubleshooting automation issues such as sensors, scrap or slug blockages, and pallet crashes
- Support Trumpf laser cutting operations by starting up machines, verifying material thickness, length, and width, resolving cutting issues related to power, focus, and speed, and documenting work performed
- Assist with editing machine technology tables and software parameters for laser cutting equipment, with training provided as needed
- Maintain and troubleshoot brake press equipment, including machine tear down and set up, first piece inspection, and ongoing quality checks
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hazel Park, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
