Custodian

Our client, a dedicated organization committed to maintaining safe and welcoming facilities, is seeking a Custodian to join their team. As a Custodian, you will be an essential part of the Facilities Support team supporting the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

** Pay Range: $24.50 - $25.00/hr*
* ** Shift:
** 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

** What's the Job?*
* + Perform a variety of custodial duties to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the facilities

+ Maintain and organize warehouse areas, assisting with donation pickups and transportation

+ Assist donors by safely transporting donations and providing receipts

+ Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, and trash removal

+ Support safety inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues promptly

+ Driving clients to other locations as needed

+ Learning to operator Forklift/ Hi-lo to assist with unloading deliveries

** What's Needed?*
* + 1 year of Custodial experience

+ Valid New York State Driver's License

+ Willingness to be trained in specialized equipment such as Hi-lo and forklift

+ Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and safety
