Skilled Maintenance Worker – Plant Operations (Full Time, Varied Schedule)

Location: Henderson, Nevada

Salary Range: $23.93/hour – $31.71/hour

West Henderson Hospital, our seventh acute care hospital in the Valley Health System, is located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway, near the Las Vegas Raiders' Headquarters. The 150-bed hospital is equipped to care for patients with a variety of medical needs, including Emergency, Cardiac, Neurology, Surgery, Gastroenterology, and inpatient care for conditions such as pneumonia.

Responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, buildings, grounds, equipment, and utilities. Individual Maintenance Technicians are originally hired to perform specialty tasks such as carpentry, painting, etc., and are expected to work in other trade fields when trained and qualified.

• Shift: Full Time Days
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Completion of a certification course in a trade or two (2 years practical experience) in carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, locksmith, general building, general equipment maintenance. Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the required trades. Certification or degree may substitute for experience.

• License/Certification: Certification in a specialized trade preferred.
• Other: Basic mathematical aptitude and exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities to identify problems and recommend corrective action for mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
