COMMUNITY PROFILE

Sun City Anthem (SCA) is a Del Webb developed community located in Henderson, Nevada, the second largest city in Nevada, with a population of nearly 330,000 residents. Developed in 1998, the beautiful and expansive 55+ active adult community covers 3,500 acres with 7,144 homes. SCA is home to approximately 12,500 total residents.

The community is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors who typically serve two-year terms. SCA amenities and facilities include three clubhouses with 130,000 square feet of recreational space including three indoor swimming pools, two outdoor pools, tennis courts, pickle ball, bocce, a 300-seat performing arts theatre, fitness centers, group exercise rooms, privately owned and operated day spa, and a grand ballroom.

SCA has nearly 60 chartered clubs and maintains a Community Patrol, a Community Service Committee, a Neighborhood Watch Program, and an Emergency Preparedness Service Committee.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting directly to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and, in their absence, the Facilities Director/Project Managers. The Association Painter / Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing skilled painting, surface preparation, preventive maintenance, repairs, and general facility maintenance throughout Association buildings and common areas.

The position performs work involving painting, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and other general maintenance functions within the scope of the position. All work is expected to be performed safely, professionally, and in accordance with applicable codes, Association standards, policies, and established procedures.

SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge of painting methods, surface preparation, application techniques, materials, coatings, and related equipment.
  • Working knowledge of general building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry repairs.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers, ladders, mechanical lifts, and other equipment required to perform assigned work.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, equipment manuals, product labels, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), blueprints, diagrams, and other job-related information.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, manage time effectively, and complete work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to identify maintenance issues, evaluate appropriate solutions within the scope of the position, and communicate concerns requiring additional assistance or specialized repair.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with residents, guests, vendors, contractors, supervisors, and employees in person, by telephone, email, handheld radio, and other communication methods.
  • Ability to provide courteous and professional customer service while working in occupied Association facilities and common areas.
  • Basic computer skills sufficient to use email, work order systems, electronic records, and other job-related applications.
  • Dependable, organized, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and interruptions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Facilities staff and other departments.
  • Ability to safely use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection. When respiratory protection is required, the employee must satisfy applicable OSHA requirements, including medical evaluation/clearance, fit testing, training, and proper use.
  • Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as operational needs require.
  • Valid Nevada driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
