Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician – Hercules, CA | $30–$32/hr | 4-Month Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping facilities running smoothly? We’re seeking a dependable and proactive Maintenance Technician to support daily building operations at a professional commercial site in Hercules, CA.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day, values autonomy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where responsiveness and teamwork matter.

No two days will look exactly the same. You’ll begin each morning reviewing assigned work orders, preparing for job completion, and prioritizing preventive maintenance tasks. Throughout the day, you’ll:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance activities
• Respond to urgent or emergency facility issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies within the building
• Change lighting, replace ceiling tiles, and complete minor plumbing repairs
• Patch and paint as needed to maintain a clean, professional environment
• Support vendor escorts and collaborate with facilities staff
• Use a CMMS system to manage and document work orders

Your work will directly improve response times, enhance building reliability, and ensure employees have a safe and well-maintained workspace.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with general building maintenance (plumbing, lighting, patching, painting, hand tools)
• Experience in commercial building environments strongly preferred
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (AMMS experience is a plus)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional demeanor when interacting with management, vendors, and staff
