Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Inject grease into units, such as springs, universal joints, and steering knuckles, using hand or compressed-air powered grease gun.
  • Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings, and shackles.
  • Check air pressure of tires.
  • Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants.
  • Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil.
  • Spray leaf springs with lubricant, using spray gun.
  • Add water to radiator and battery.
  • Replace oil and air filters.
  • Sell lubrication and safety inspection services and maintain related records on regular customers, following up periodically with telephone, mail, or personal reminders.
  • Perform duties that are work related as directed by manager or lead technician.
Education And Experience
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Two years of experience as a technician's helper or apprentice in an automotive dealership.
  • Manual dexterity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Good work ethic.
  • Positive, hard-working attitude, with good judgment.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding position. The Quality Inspection Technician
- Entry will stand six to eight hours per shift. Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds. Will use spray gun. Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete each essential duty satisfactorily.
