POSITION
PURPOSE:
The Construction Cleaner plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of construction sites, including clean rooms, dry rooms, and controlled environments. This role is essential in maintaining compliance with industry and environmental standards, as well as supporting the efficiency of our client projects.
SCHEDULE SHIFT:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Include the following key areas and duties, which may be modified or increased as necessary:
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the entire site, including both interior and exterior areas. Regularly empty trash cans and disposal of waste as required.
- Conduct cleaning operations, ensuring compliance with local laws, federal regulations, and environmental standards.
- Remove tools, construction equipment, machinery, and surplus materials from cleanroom and dry room areas.
- Dispose of non-hazardous, non-toxic waste materials, adhering to CCS standards and environmental regulations.
- Clean interior and exterior hard-surface finishes to a dirt-free, stain-free condition, while maintaining natural weathering where applicable.
- Remove debris, surface dust, and waste from limited access spaces, such as plenums, trenches, and other confined spaces.
- Clean concrete floors in unoccupied spaces and operate floor scrubbers or Zambonis as needed.
- Clean glass surfaces, mirrors, and windows to ensure they are clear and free of vision-obscuring substances.
- Remove non-permanent labels and wipe down surfaces of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Eliminate excess lubrication, paint, mortar, and other substances from surfaces.
- Clean light fixtures, lamps, and reflectors to ensure optimal functionality.
- Remove stains from walls and columns as necessary.
- Spot mop floors using mild, compatible cleaning agents followed by a deionized (DI) water rinse, repeating the process after spills.
- Operate scrubbers daily and use a scissor lift when cleaning walls or high ceilings.
- Utilize a forklift for moving heavy trash cans or materials.
- Pick up trash and empty trash cans in the parking lot as needed.
- Always adhere to all safety protocols and wear PPE while on site, including steel-toe shoes, high visibility vest, hard hat, and safety glasses.
EDUCATION AND/OR
EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction cleaning or a similar role is preferred.
- Willingness to learn and be trained on facility-specific procedures
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must have and be able to consistently apply the following skills at the levels indicated to produce assigned results.

- The ability to operate cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers and forklifts, is preferred.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is an advantage.
