Position OverviewThe Car Wash Maintenance Specialist is an essential member of our team, responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance at our various Spotless Brands locations. This role involves daily travel to perform routine maintenance, address unexpected breakdowns, and ensure that all facility issues are resolved safely and efficiently.
Essential Functions (Other Duties as Assigned)- Repair, service, test, and troubleshoot car wash equipment.
- Ensure maximum operational uptime through proactive maintenance efforts.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment at sites.
- Manage your time effectively to complete tasks based on their urgency.
- Guide site personnel in recognizing and reporting car wash equipment and facility issues.
- Oversee the inventory of parts necessary for optimal site operations.
- Maintain the company vehicle through safe driving and proper maintenance practices.
- Address all facility-related concerns within your assigned sites.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an Industrial Maintenance apprenticeship is a plus.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards relevant to maintenance roles.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a comprehensive maintenance role, preferably within an industrial or car wash environment.
- Demonstrated skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a background check to operate a company vehicle, maintaining a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Self-starter capable of working independently without supervision.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members at all levels.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
- Visual acuity to see variations in color.
- Capability to climb and work from ladders.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
- Able to be active outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- 80-100% travel, primarily day travel within the assigned region.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
