Senior Facilities Administrator to oversee the management and operations of a Northern Virginia office location supporting national security missions. Ensure a safe, efficient, and fully operational working environment by coordinating facility maintenance, space planning, vendor relationships, and emergency preparedness across the site.
Facility Management & Maintenance- Oversee the day‑to‑day management and maintenance of the facility, including office buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and infrastructure, including HVAC and UPS components.
- Schedule and oversee routine inspections and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date logs of findings and maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures to ensure consistent, high‑quality operations.
- Coordinate office moves and workspace reconfigurations to optimize use of available space.
- Collaborate with internal departments and leadership to understand space needs and plan accordingly.
- Develop, maintain, and track project schedules for facility‑related renovations, upgrades, and buildouts.
- Maintain accurate space documentation and support optimized space utilization across the facility.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for facility‑related services.
- Escort vendors performing work in restricted areas and oversee multi‑day projects to ensure compliance with facility safety, security, and access protocols.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost‑effective, quality service delivery.
- Oversee custodial, cleaning, and other facility service contracts, implementing new service requests as needed.
- Develop and manage budgets for facility‑related expenses.
- Monitor costs, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and implement budgetary controls to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building code regulations; conduct regular inspections and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for various situations, ensuring the safety of all facility occupants.
- Coordinate and conduct drills and training sessions to keep staff prepared for emergency scenarios.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between facility occupants, management, property management, and external vendors.
- Communicate facility‑related information, updates, and service statuses clearly and promptly to employees and stakeholders.
- Respond to ad hoc requests and shifting priorities in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field; 4 years of additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices, building systems, and facility operations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff, vendors, and senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage facility‑related projects including renovations, upgrades, and office moves.
- Familiarity with building codes, health and safety regulations, and relevant compliance standards.
- Knowledge of facility management software and building automation systems.
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience supporting facilities in a cleared government contracting or intelligence community environment.
- Experience coordinating with property management systems and inputting/tracking service tickets.
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
