Overview

Position Overview

At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), we’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Field Installer to support our commercial projects from the ground up. In this hands‑on role, you’ll measure door openings, observe field work for quality and compliance, and help ensure accurate, timely installations. Working closely with our VP of Field Operations, you’ll play a vital role in bridging field and office operations, gaining exposure to all aspects of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative & Office Coordination
    • Coordinate various office tasks such as data entry, answering phones, emails, and filing
    • Provide administrative support and work closely with VP of Field Operations
  • Field Operations
    • Measure door openings
    • Maintain a set of marked‑up record drawings for construction projects
    • Observe work in progress to determine if procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications
  • Repair & Record Management
    • Schedule repair work orders
    • Maintain accurate records for easy reference and reporting
  • Safety
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
    • Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
    • Use proper lifting techniques
    • Adhere to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt
    • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes, and clothing
  • Physical Requirements
    • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
    • Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
    • Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying building materials weighing approximately 100 pounds, using proper lifting procedures; and occasionally pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying greater weights. Pushing and pulling loaded carts over various distances and surfaces. Some functions may be performed as a team
  • Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of construction methods and procedures
  • Self‑starter with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Good time management skills, professional dress, and behavior
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Hollow Metal Door and Frame experience is a plus
